What is Good Governance?
My earlier post on using official facilities for personal or private purpose elicited the name Saidina Umar, the second righteous Caliph.
On doing a little search, it seems the example about the light is about Umayyad Caliph Umar Abdul Aziz.
You can read more about these great caliphs here when the Middle East was a great civilisation.
For Malaysia, we know all about good governance but there is a mighty chasm between the knowledge and the practice.

I believe there is also Authority to complete the picture.
If there is Authority, Responsibility and Accountability, we have the main ingredients.
Transparancy would be treated under Accountability.
The way the government operates is skewed towards Authority and little weight is placed on the other principles.
