Rest in Peace, Endon
Today Malaysia mourns the passage of Endon, the beloved wife of our Prime Minister who has had the heavy responsibility of leading Malaysia as well as caring for his wife of 40 years. We pray that he will have the fortitude and courage to carry on his onerous duties to make Malaysia a better place.
I would like to share this famous poem that was printed in my 25th wedding anniversary program on
Marriage
You were born together, and together you
shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white
wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the
silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance
between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond
of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between
the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from
one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat
not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous,
but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone
though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each
other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain
your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near
together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow
not in each other's shadow.

I join thee in a prayer well sent up to the Almighty.
We pray the Good Lord will watch over our Most Esteemed PM Pak Lah and his loved ones at this hour of grief and need. Amen.
A lovely poem on such a sad sad day. Even the skies outside my windows are dark and gloomy, as if the heavens are ready to weep for the passing of this lady. May she rest in peace in the company of angels and may our PM find strength in his faith to shoulder on the heavy burden of bringing in an era of moral goodness and civilisation to Malaysians.
