A University for the Brave
I wonder if this university is only for students who enjoy caving and other extreme sports, as having a campus right next to limestone caves will definitely cause students to sleep light.
If it rains very heavily at night you may just wake up to find yourself in the next world. Has everyone forgotten about the limestone collapse that occurred in Ipoh that claimed some lives years ago?
The site is near the Kinta River near the DR Seenivasagam park. Fortunately only a few people who lived beneath the limestone cliffs perished.
Now we are talking about 10000 students staying in close proximity to the fragile ecosystem.
To add more stress to the ecosystem they have developed four-wheel-drive and motor cross circuits. It will only be a question of time before a 4WD vehicle plunges into an undiscovered ravine and lives are lost.
The way things are being ravaged, I expect this unique tourist attraction will be a dead loss within twenty years.
