Just like a lighted candle in a dark room, the publication of the names of AP recipients shows that much has been concealed in the secret chambers of government.

There was so much reluctance to reveal the names that even the most uneducated could guess that all was not right in MITI-land.

After 25 years, Malayians are now told that too bad, some of you could have also applied for APs. The rationale seems to be that since no one else applied, we had to also give to those with inside information.

It is now time to light more candles. All ministries should also prepare lists of selected contractors and submit their reports to Parliament so that meaningful debates can be conducted on why the poor have become more marginalised.
