APs-Are We Missing the Forest for the Trees?
So the MPs are upset that their names have been published as having been the recipient of an AP each though some have been given more than one according to this blog.
To me, granting an AP to an MP is not really a big deal if the MPs really do a good job instead of being an expensive rubber stamp that has burdened us with so many draconian laws.
Furthermore, the Minister Nazri said on TV3, “every Malaysian is entitled to an AP in his lifetime.” The info is good but I wish they told me that before my arthritic joints render me incapable of driving that flashy sports car.
Now an official has been punished, as he was not supposed to release the MPs names.
The publication of the instruction for the MITI Minister to appear in Parliament indicates that the matter has escalated to a higher level. It does not portray a Cabinet that is united and working well for the best interests of the country.
There appears to be a serious breakdown in communications at this stage of the AP saga. Perhaps the MPs will ensure the Proton-AP dilemma is well debated instead of worrying too much about their bruised egos?
