Bureaucracy of the Highest Order
The surplus to requirements Cabinet ministers and their deputies must be congratulated for having been able to survive all the calls to reduce the size of the Malaysian Cabinet that must rank among the highest in terms of ministers per capita.
Looking at the diagram that was shown in the Star on 5th April 9, 2006 it shows a merry-go-round between the NITF, the NITFBCIC and the NITFED that oversees the NID.
It seems that the authorities have managed to invent a perpetual motion machine that has defied scientists for centuries. Perhaps it is in line with the NEP objectives that have failed after 8MPs and with this plan, we are destined to perpetuate all the blood-sucking and energy sapping policies that have enriched only the chosen few.
Pardon my sarcasm but the following arrangement would be more direct and easier for all to understand.
KISS for Korruptors in Sheep’s Skins
PISS for Politicians in Sinful Situations
MESS for Managers of Expert Smoke Screens
KISS are the groups that manipulate NEP policies for their own ends and are not really bothered about reducing poverty. They work with the crooked politicians to double and triple their wealth with generous handouts like Aps.
PISS are the politicians who have sold their souls to the KISS group. They will cling to power at all costs. Many are considered corrupt and they just dole out mega projects to favoured cronies.
MESS are the groups like the police recalcitrants that oppose the IPCMC. It also includes all the civil servants that struggle to provide good service to the common folks.
At the bottom of the food chain are the masses who work hard and pay taxes. These people also enjoy very little of the immense wealth that Malaysia should have accumulated with the millions of barrels of oil that PETRONAS has exported.
We really don’t need another layer of bureaucracy but we need to chuck out incompetents in the existing structures that work and dissolve all the structures that have ossified.
