Malaysia Needs a Major Makeover with the ICMC
After 48 years of basically one-party rule, Malaysia needs a major makeover if it is not to degenerate into political chaos and anarchy.
Each day there are signs of unrest and disquiet although many leaders try to make the effort to smooth over difficulties.
Today’s story about the shenanigans regarding APs shows how easy it has been for errant officers to abuse their privileged positions whenever approvals or licences are required.
I suggest all the objections the police have against the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) may be removed if the Attorney General is asked to work on the ICMC (Independent Complaints and Misconduct Commission) instead.
This way we will leapfrog a few extra commissions and save years of deliberations. It would also be easier to get this commission (ICMC) in place when no one feels the spotlight on them.
Isn’t good government about planning for the future years ahead instead of just reacting to crisis?
