Can We Get Ronaldinho's Enthusiasm for our Civil Servants?
I stayed up late to watch the Barcelona-AC Milan football match this morning.
The match was interesting although it ended in a goalless draw. The most memorable thing about the match was that it ended with many gestures of friendship among the opposing players and unlike many football matches with so much dineros at stake, the two teams were quite gentlemanly.
Of course there was the top footballer of the world, the irrepressible Ronaldinho. It is really a joy to watch him play. With his wide array of skills and trickery, the man is God’s gift to football.
He even smiles when he is fouled and I suspect he will even play football for free.
Now if we could put his type of enthusiasm into the work culture of the thousands of civil servants who still treat the office like a vacation club and who still leave for their leisurely breakfast immediately after clocking in for work.
