It’s Nice to Receive Letters.....

........Especially if they offer you special deals.

Everyone loves to recive letters provided it is not a demand payment from the credit card company or the IRD.

It seems that the Customs officers have been operating a special deals program for selected people who are able to take part in special offers.

All very nice for the selected few but not good for the government coffers as the seized goods could have fetched more if all Malaysians are invited to participate

We all know the saying ”Less men, more share” and it appears the Customs were guilty of sharing their spoils with preferred clients.

Do you know how to get your name on their mailing list?
Would a proper audit be beneficial on what safeguards are in place to secure the millions of ringgit that is under their control?

If cars can be so easily disposed to their preferred clients, what about more marketable goods like alcohol, cigarettes and drugs?
