"I Have a Job to Do"
Suppose you are building a very nice house for your family and the project is going to last 5 years.
Now anyone who has done any project will know that all projects have problems and usually the deadline has to be extended.
The weather could be bad and construction will be halted on rainy days. Then you may have to change the architect as some of the plans were badly drawn up encroaching on the neighbour’s boundary and requiring too much sand that is in short supply.
Then the quantity surveyor makes serious mistakes that allow the contractors to get away with slip-shod work that will endanger those who are going to live in the completed mansion.
You engage an experienced consultant who advises that the contractors must be made to agree to a properly documented contract or they will be dismissed for breaching proper building codes.
A few months later you discover that termites have infected your site and all the woodwork is being chewed up.
Your present dilemma is that the new architect has problems understanding the plans and the contractors are refusing to sign the new contract.
Are you going to just keep on building and also ignore those termites?
I leave you to to infer who or what fits into which description.

Dropping by for teh tarik with the ghosts of Kellie's Castle?
It is time Malaysians took better control of what's cooking in the kitchen.
