Meso-therapy? Go for Brain Surgery Instead.
Modern day living has really made us soft. Our work is more mental than physical but we eat the amount of food more appropriate for manual work.
We have also become very lazy. You can see examples of this at neighbor-hood shops where people park haphazardly as they do not want to walk even 50 meters from the proper parking spot.
The end result is that the obesity tag can apply to more of the population and even more alarmingly is that the children are becoming obese the same time as their parents.
Just look around you in the shopping centers and you will find children being fed all kinds of junk food. Look at the child and you will realise that obesity is indeed going to be a serious problem soon.
Modern lifestyle has definitely made us softer and not used to physical effort but we are not eating less to offset the lack of physical activity.
There was this therapy shown on ChannelNewsAsia recently. There was this lady doctor who looked a little like the late Karen Carpenter who died of anorexia nervosa. The doctor was promoting meso-theraphy which consists of injecting a cocktail of drugs that causes the fat to melt from the areas that you want to trim. From the documentary, it seem that for the belly, you would require at least 20 injections.
The drugs will dissolve the fats through carbon dioxide compounds and this will be absorbed into your bloodstream and passed out. The treatment costs about RM2500 but no info was given when you had to become a pin-cushion again.
Instead of wasting your money on such fads, try cutting down on rich foods, eat sensibly, enjoy a little exercise and donate the money to your favourite charity.
