Will This Enter the Malaysian Guiness Book of Records?
Today I had the most frustrating experience and just wonder whether we are progressing towards Vision2020 or Haze1010.
No,this is not a complaint against civil servants or government departments but against one of the leading car companies in Malaysia.
Government departments like the NRD, Immigration and JPJ have streamlined many work procedures and they have also friendly services for the aged, the infirm and pregnant women. Telekom has improved beyong recognition and is now comparable to the best banks for service.
Last week, I booked an appointment to get my car serviced. I arrived at the appointed time and took a queue number at about 9:30am. There were about 20 others waiting around and most of them did not look happy.
It did not take long to find the reason. Some of them had been waiting since 8:30am.
What to do?
I read the two newspapers, solved the Sudoku puzzle and finally I got to see the Service Advisor at 12:15pm.
Morale of story? Make sure you are the patient type if you buy a car from UMW.
The service really sucks and has definitely deteriorated during the past 3 years.
