Time is of the Essence...
I find it strange that some people are now trying to blame the DAP for making an issue of the “squatgate” incident.
Perhaps it gives credence to the saying, “Information is Power” and now some MPs are trying to whitewash the incident claiming that the authorities really knew about the matter days before the DAP's Teresa Kok showed the clip to the BN MPs who were clearly surprised.
Of course the row with China would have been avoided if the Independent Commission for complaints had been set up and Michael Chong should have been able to direct his information there straightaway without having to wait for anyone else to conduct internal investigations.
The BN MPs should be asking why the Independent Commission has not yet been set up and not wasting energy on the motives of the DAP. Basically many in authority have been caught with their “pants down” and are a little upset; like spoiled children.
Now if only the AG’s office can enlighten all of us why it is so difficult to set up the Complaints Commission. No need to worry too much about the lack of freedom in Burma when we have human rights abuse right here in Malaysia.
