Is Malaysia on the way to becoming a police or military state?

Today’s news in the Star is quite disturbing and shows how vacillating over an important and critical decision over the IPCMC by the civil authorities has allowed resistance to grow and harden.

Now the police have become bold enough to tell the government to take the IPCMC and shove it up some unmentionable part of their anatomy.

The latest distraction over the headscarves for non-Muslim policewomen is part of the smokescreen to obscure the fact that the government has lost the plot about getting the right thing done instead of making insignificant and cosmetic decisions.

We have allowed an important arm of the civil government to effectively say, “We are not going to obey.”
This is the first step to becoming a police state.
