Coming Out of the Shadows....

Kudos to the Backbenchers Club for coming out of the shadows and into the limelight.
I believe this is the first time that these MPs are investigating affairs of government after a long hiatus.

Perhaps the term “Backbenchers Club” is too relaxing – it sounds like a club where people sit about relaxing, having a nice cigar and fine wine. They should re-brand themselves as something more action-oriented like Action Committees for the various ministries.

Relating to the ongoing investigations into the car industry, it could be called the Action Committee on Automobiles.

We could make better use of MPs who will definitely learn more skills than just repeating derogatory words in Parliament.

These special committees should hold public hearings as it is important to give the public the chance to see democracy in action.
