BYOBG or Bring Your Own Boxing Gloves

It was quite interesting to read in today’s newspapers about the slanging match that occurred during the public hearing in JB about national unity between the BN and Opposition politicians.

If this is the standard we can expect from our politicians, perhaps instead of such a polite gathering, we should organise a boxing match instead with contenders ranked by weight and not by titles.

At least the public will get some entertainment value and the politicians can vent some steam so that we can get better debates in Parliament.

National unity for Malaysians is an elusive dream for Malaysians when we practise racism and when government policies are race biased and not needs biased.

The only area where we can witness some national unity is in the sports arena when we all celebrate our sporting heroes’ achievements.
