The Evil that Men Do
It was a cruel fate to be raped and murdered by a gang of ruthless men. This kind of crime must be abhorred by society and the police should be commended for the speedy arrest of the suspects within a few days of the crime.
Each of us also has a part to play by being observant and willing to assist those who seek our assistance. In this case the younger sister noticed her sister had disappeared and there was blood on the ground. It would seem that a “missing person report” was not the correct procedure to be followed.
The other aspect of this case that puzzles me is that the victim was cremated even as the suspects are being held on remand. Is it not possible that vital clues would have been destroyed with the body?
Without the body it would be more difficult for the prosecution to establish the chain of events that led to the murder and also who committed the rape and murder. Unless the CSI in Malaysia is world class.
Rest in peace, Gaik Yap we know you are in a better place than the world you left.
