Horse-trading in Ipoh
This is another good example of how local government wastes taxpayers’ monies.
The 11 horses were rented at RM24,000 a month for at least six months or a cool RM144,000 just to enable the city council to show off the unit during the city day celebrations.
It should be interesting to find out who promoted this idea and how the deal was sealed. But then taxpayers are not allowed to attend most council meetings where the lucrative horse-trading takes place.
We should support any political party that promises to bring back local council elections so that power will return to the common folk.
